Hartwig Thaler is a multifaceted artist with roots in Brixen, South Tyrol. With a diverse education from the Academy of Fine Arts in Arnhem and Enschede, Netherlands, where he graduated in Monumental Art in 1999, Thaler moves effortlessly through the world of visual arts.
His work spans various disciplines, from painting and sculpture to architecture and design. Throughout his career, he has embarked on numerous study trips, including to the United States, and has exhibited his works in solo and group exhibitions across several European countries. His artistic practice includes interventions in public spaces as well as private commissions, including paintings, artistic furniture, and design projects.
In 2011, he took on the role of artistic director of the 50x50x50 Biennale, held at the Fortress of Fortezza in South Tyrol, bringing his artistic vision onto the international art scene. His studio in Brixen serves as a creative hub from which he continues to develop his art and explore new artistic directions.
